What are the types of Urban Operations?

  • PIP (Preliminary Information Procedure)
An initial request to obtain information about the feasibility of a project, providing guidance on the conditions and requirements before licensing.

  • Licensing
A formal process in which the project is analyzed and approved for the construction, expansion, or alteration of buildings.

  • Prior Notification
A more simplified procedure for low-impact works, where the project executor informs the competent authority of the project's execution, without the need for a license.

  • Construction Works
These are projects that involve the creation of new buildings or infrastructure, such as the construction of buildings or houses, requiring licensing to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

  • Alteration Works
Refers to modifications in an already existing building, such as renovations or structural changes. This type of work may require licensing or, in some cases, just prior notification.

  • Conservation Works
Involve the maintenance of a property, such as repairs or restorations, without altering its main structure. Generally, this type of work is simple and can be carried out with prior notification.

  • Demolition Works
These are works that involve the partial or total destruction of an existing building. To ensure safety and compliance with regulations, this type of work requires prior licensing.

  • Plotting Operations
Involves dividing a piece of land into plots for sale or construction. These operations must be approved and licensed to meet urban and environmental requirements.

  • Land Use
Refers to the definition of how a given land can be used, whether for residential, commercial, or industrial purposes, regulated by specific rules to ensure urban planning.
